WEDNESDAY SEPTEMBER 1 / LABOUR DAY, KRUPKE & SUNCAPADES / RANCHO RELAXO / 300 COLLEGE ST / PWYC / 19+
PWYC Weds kick off September with a great line-up at Rancho Relaxo tonight, featuring performances from The Suncapades, indie pop experimentalists Krupke and Labour Day, a relatively new band with a live reputation that precedes them.

THURSDAY SEPTEMBER 2 / CACTUS'S & THE ARCHIVES / SNEAKY DEE'S / 431 COLLEGE ST / $11.50 / 19+
Nashville trio Cactus's play Sneaks on Thursday night to celebrate the release of their debut album New Bones, where they'll be joined by The Archives, Mad Ones and Indian Handcrafts. Cactus's play tenacious, balls-out southern rock'n'roll in the vein of Glassjaw, At the Drive-In or ETID and their live show is not to be missed.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3 / FLYING LOTUS / OPERA HOUSE / 735 QUEEN ST E / $ / 19+
Californian music producer Steven Ellison (better known by his stage name Flying Lotus) has enjoyed massive success since he released his debut album just four years ago. His latest effort Cosmogramma dropped this past May and features guest appearances from Thom Yorke, Thundercat, Laura Darlington, harpist Rebekah Raff and Ellison's relative Ravi Coltrane. Local musicians Mymanhenri and ULTRAGAMMA will warm up the crowd.

Note: this show was originally scheduled to take place at the Phoenix, but was moved to the Opera House last week - all tickets for the original show will be honoured at the new venue.

FRIDAY SEPTEMBER 3 / THE HOA HOA'S / THE GARRISON / 1197 DUNDAS ST W / $7 / 19+
Toronto's premiere psych-rock act The Hoa Hoa's headline a Friday night gig at the Garrison, where they'll be joined by Snowblink and Martin Bisi, who will be appearing with Brian Viglione of The Dresden Dolls. The Optical Sounds DJs will be on hand all night, spinning psych, punk and rock selections from their impressive collection of 45s in between sets.

SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 4 / SOMEONE STILL LOVES YOU BORIS YELTSIN / EL MOCAMBO / 464 SPADINA AVE / $12 / 19+
Hailing from Springfield, Missouri, indie pop/rock quartet SSLYBY are on the road in support of their third full-length album Let It Sway, released just a few weeks ago by Polyvinyl Record Company. On Saturday night they'll headline a gig at the ElMo alongside Seattle-based indie rockers Telekinesis, whose debut album was mixed, produced and engineered by Death Cab's Chris Walla and released by Merge Records last year to rave reviews. Whale Tooth are the local contribution to the line-up, so get there early to support the hometown act. You won't be disappointed.

TUESDAY SEPTEMBER 7 / VAMPIRE WEEKEND / MOLSON AMPHITHEATRE / 955 LAKESHORE BLVD W / $34.50 - $59.50 / ALL AGES
As summer begins to fade, so too do your chances of catching some great music in an outdoor setting. On that note, the stellar line-up of Dum Dum Girls and Beach House opening up for Vampire Weekend at The Molson Amphitheatre this coming Tuesday will undoubtedly make for a fantastic end-of-summer concert under the open sky.
