WEDNESDAY JUNE 9 / WL504: GROUPER / MUSIC GALLERY / 197 JOHN ST / $10-15 / ALL AGES
The outdoor courtyard of St. George the Martyr plays host to the first show of Wavelength 504 tonight, kicking off the four-show summer concert series with a headlining performance from Grouper, the moniker of solo artist Liz Harris. Known for her spacey, ethereal and often hypnotic brand of dream pop, Harris previously collaborated with Xiu Xiu in 2006 for the release of Creepshow. Get there for 8:30 p.m. to catch opening sets from cellist Julia Kent and Winnipeg post-rock trio The Dead Letters.

THURSDAY JUNE 10 / WL 504: POCAHAUNTED / MUSIC GALLERY / 197 JOHN ST / $10-15 / ALL AGES
Night two of the Summer Courtyard Series at The Music Gallery features L.A. psych-folk act Pocahaunted closing out the show after opening sets from three local acts: Wet Nurse, The Deep and Doldrums, the side project of Spiral Beach member Airick Woodhead. Expect a night of reverb-heavy soundscapes from the hometown openers, followed by the mashed up psych-dub-soul rhythms of California's Pocahaunted.

FRIDAY JUNE 11 / JUAN MACLEAN (DJ KICKS) / WRONGBAR / 1279 QUEEN SW W / $ / 19+
DFA Records producer and musician John MacLean stops by Wrongbar in support of The Future Will Come, his second full-length studio album under the name The Juan Maclean. The LP features help from Holy Ghost!, drummer Jerry Fuchs (R.I.P.) and DFA mainstay Nancy Whang, who also plays keys and synth with James Murphy during live LCD Soundsystem events. Nacho Lovers and Dirty Dale will get things going shortly after doors open at 10p.m.

SATURDAY JUNE 12 / THE GOLDEN FILTER / WRONGBAR / 1279 QUEEN SW W / $ / 19+
The Golden Filter are a New York based electronic music duo, comprised of Australian lead vocalist Penelope Trappes and American analogue synth programmer Stephen Hindman. Their self-produced first single "Solid Gold" was featured on A-Trak's album Infinity +1, and they've remixed tracks from Peter Bjorn and John, Cut Copy, Little Boots and Empire of the Sun. Brooklyn disco/house/pop/shoegaze duo The Hundred in the Hands are the lone opening act.

SATURDAY JUNE 12 / SHAD & D-SISIVE / OPERA HOUSE / 735 QUEEN ST E / $15 / ALL AGES
Head to the Opera House on Saturday night to check out back-to-back sets from two of the biggest names in the Southern Ontario hip-hop scene: Shad and D-Sisive. Shad K is celebrating the release of his incredible new album TSOL, released May 25 by Black Box Recordings. D-Sisive, on the other hand, will step up to preview his forthcoming LP Vaudeville, due for release on June 22 through URBNET.

SUNDAY JUNE 13 / MAN FOREVER / WHIPPERSNAPPER GALLERY / 587A COLLEGE ST / $10 / 19+
Man Forever is the new solo project of Oneida drummer Kid Millions, who calls upon drummer Brian Chase (Yeah Yeah Yeahs), bassist Richard Hoffman (Sightings), drummer Alison Busch (Awesome Colour) and drummer Shahin Motia (Oneida, Ex Models) to round out his touring line-up, though he still plans on augmenting the line-up with local percussionists in each city on the tour. Man Forever's debut full-length saw a vinyl release through St. Ives (a Jagjaguwar imprint), though it was limited to only 300 copies. Opening acts are Motia's solo project Inferior Amps and Brooklyn-based guitarist/filmmaker Noveller.

TUESDAY JUNE 15 / LOST IN THE TREES / EL MOCAMBO / 464 SPADINA AVE / FREE / 19+
Lost In The Trees are an orchestral folk collective from North Carolina, and they'll play a free show this Tuesday night at the El Mocambo in support of All Alone in an Empty Room - their ANTI- Records debut, due for release on August 10. Helmed by composer and songwriter Ari Picker, Lost In the Trees combine elements of folk and pop with unconventional hints of classical and orchestral sounds. Based on reviews from SXSW and their current tour with Plants and Animals, their free show at the El Mo is a show you definitely don't want to miss.
