State Of Bengal at SAVAC Party This Friday

SAVAC (South Asian Visual Arts Centre) is turning 15 and they are throwing a fantastic party to celebrate. It all goes down this Friday at Wrongbar.

Since 1993, SAVAC has been dedicated to the presentation and promotion of contemporary visual art by South Asian artists. SAVAC presents innovative programming, which critically explores issues and ideas shaping South Asian identities and experiences.

UK world music DJ/producer/remixer State of Bengal will headline in support of the North American release of his latest album SKIP-IJ. It's an amazing blend of different types of south Asian grooves featuring 12 vocalists, including Toronto's own Rosina Kazi from Lal. State of Bengal has remixed big acts like Massive Attack and opened for Bjork on her global tour in 2007.

The party will also include a raffle and many other fun surprises.
