Rob Ford says he'll run for office again if a judge decides to boot him from office at the end of his impending conflict-of-interest trial next week. Speaking to CP24 yesterday, Ford said the case brought by resident Paul Magder and taken on pro bono by criminal lawyer Clayton Ruby is "all politics."

Details of Ford's deposition were also made public yesterday. Highlights, provided by The Star, include the mayor answering "I don't recall" or "I don't remember" 89 separate times and admitting he usually waits for city hall legal staff to tell him when to declare conflicts-of-interest. Ford also said he couldn't recall having a copy of the handbook he should have received several times since becoming a councillor that explains basic procedure.

Also in Fords, councillor Doug Ford's daughter, Rob's neice, is receiving criticism for a tweet sent following a Toronto police warning over a spate of sexual assaults in the Bloor and Christie area. Krista Ford urged women not to "dress like a whore" but later deleted the message.

Away from City Hall, the TTC is ramping up service on some of its busier subway, bus and streetcar routes starting Monday to meet an unexpected higher than usual demand. Some routes will have half the normal wait time thanks to the boost in service, including the Yonge-University-Spadina line, 504 King streetcar, and 6 Bay bus.

For the sixth year in a row, Ryerson students have set a new world record during Orientation Week. A crowd of 1,003 students shattered the record for the "largest cowbell ensemble" playing along to, of course, "Don't Fear the Reaper." The previous record of 640 cowbells was set in Switzerland in 2009.

And finally, The Star has video of a crafty escape attempt by two long-tailed lemurs at Toronto Zoo yesterday. The animals were able to make a break for freedom thanks to recent changes in the layout of their enclosure. According to the paper, zoo staff recaptured the pair in the African Rainforest Pavilion.
