Morning Brew: Condos are eating up Toronto office spaces, injured cyclist pens letter to 'blind' jogger, Shania's stalker stuns Toronto court, and Nuit Blanche is almost here

You've probably noticed it too: condos are eating up office space in Toronto. Thirty years ago, 63 per cent of office space was located in the downtown financial district or along subway lines; as of last year, 54 per cent of office space is located in the 905 region. In a complete reversal, the 416 region is now something of a bedroom community for 905 commuters. Yep, it's looking like Toronto is trading its businesses for people and that's got some financial analysts worried. Not to mention the fact that we're we're started to look eerily close to Vancouver.

The condo biz is booming, so chances are you might be getting ready to buy your first condo. It's time to learn about condo maintenance fees. The Grid breaks it down for prospective buyers, including why older buildings have higher fees, why all fees will increase over time and what to look out for.

Can't we all just get along? Apparently a cyclist took a nasty spill yesterday morning at Taylor Creek Park, much to the chagrin of jogger passing by, who allegedly didn't stop to check if the cyclist was okay. Just kept on jogging. Here's the cyclist's letter to the jogger.

So this is pretty scary-weird. An Ontario man, who is accused of stalking Shania Twain, stunned a Toronto court yesterday when he changed his plea to guilty after seeing the singer give her testimony via satellite. The accused stood up from his prison box and interrupted Twain's testimony, calling her by her real name of Eileen and promising her that he'll change his plea. The trial is scheduled to resume today.

And, Nuit Blanche is almost here. Because the night can be overwhelming, we've put together a guide that runs down transportation options, smartphone apps, and that highlights all the buzz-worthy exhibits. What are you looking forward to at this year's event?
