Toronto Japanese Short Film Festival

The Toronto Japanese Short Film Festival kicks off its 3rd year this Friday at Innis Town Hall with 4 fruity programs: MOMO (Peach), ICHIGO (Strawberry), MIKAN (Orange) and RINGO (APPLE), to whet your visual appetites.

First presented in 2003, the festival's mission is to expose a slice of contemporary Japanese culture. This year, the festival presents 28 innovative film and animations have impressed Japanese film lovers all over the world. For those who are a follower of Asian independent cinema would appreciate the diversity especially in the different works of animation.

New this year is the added RINGO (Apple) Program featuring shorts acquired from "openART". "openART" is the largest website for streaming independent video in Japan. The site offers free films that are accessible at anytime to anyone.
