Escape to a Free NFB Screening!

I know, I know, it's been a tad quiet on the film reviewing side of things, but we've all been hibernating/ saving our energies for the upcoming 10 day mayhem of the Toronto International Film Festival that kicks itself into gear tomorrow.

With tickets being approximately $20 a screening, one can only visualize the moths ripping a hole in my $10 leather purse. So, to alleviate my heart stopping empty bank account, (and perhaps yours as well) the NFB is hosting "Be A Film Critic For A Day". The film in question, is a documentary called, "ESCAPE TO CANADA" which is about Americans who see Canada as the promised land. The film will be released next month.

Producers are giving 40 tickets away for people to watch and comment on the film. 2 days only.
For those between 30 and 40 years of age, screening is on Sunday, Sept 11 @ 2pm.
For those between 19 and 29 years of age, screening is Thursday, Sept 15 @ 5pm.

Call 416.952.8957 to reserve your seat today.

Screening is at the NFB - 150 John St (NW of Richmond St West).
Refreshments and door prizes.
