This Week in Fashion: The Bay heads to the airport, Nathalie-Roze & Co uber-swap, Crywolf hosts last pop-up, sales from Standard Apparel and Philip Sparks

NEWS

This October, a Hudson's Bay Company airport store - the first of its kind! - is set to open at Pearson in Terminal 1. Expect the store to be decked out in the Bay's iconic coloured stripes, selling a variety of fashion and home accessories such as sweaters for men, women, and children, and no doubt the classic point blanket. Now everyone from everywhere can walk away with a piece of quality Canadian memorabilia!

EVENTS/PARTIES

Join Nathalie-Roze & Co (1015 Queen St E) in Leslieville tomorrow (July 19) from 6 pm until 8:30 pm for their massive "Uber-SWAP" on the patio. If you ladies have got any gently used or vintage clothing you're ready to part with, bag it up and bring it over today (July 18) until 6 pm to be able to participate in the $10 event. Leave with a brand new bag of stylish summer wear and a new eco-friendly/frugal viewpoint on life. Find out more here.

For two days only (July 20 and July 21), view Shop for Jayu's new collection of over 50 jewels handpicked by Sally Han of Psalms 91:1 Accessories. Bedazzle your arms, neck, and ears in trendy pieces at up to 20% off and celebrate the new website launch at the Gladstone Hotel (1214 Queen St W) from 11 am until 9 pm on both days. Find out more here.

Though it's a little late, the people over at Textstyles.ca know it's still worth it to throw a dance party for their 4th anniversary. Put on your dancing shoes for the "live art" themed jam happening on Saturday (July 21) from 9 pm until midnight at Daniel Faria Gallery (188 St. Helens Ave). RSVP to rsvp@textstyles.ca

To any and all future brides: there's no need to get all bridezilla on everyone you know and love when the Bridal Bazaar is just around the corner! On Sunday (July 22), Confessions of a Thrifty Bride presents their first ever annual bazaar of over 30 vendors selling everything you need for your special day. Self proclaimed as the "one-stop bridal market," admission is only $5 at The Assembly Hall (1 Colonel Samuel Smith Park Dr) and includes a ~Thrifty Card~ to get discounts on all vendors during and after the event. More dates include August 19 and September 16. Find out more here.

Yet another clothing swap is happening on Sunday (July 22). This time around, it's hosted by Misfit Studio and Emma Stainton, plus a yoga class on the deck during the picturesque downtown sunset follows just after! You know the drill, bring a bag of clothes from 3 pm until 6:30 to get your swappin' on. All proceeds go to the Sistering. Find out more here.

It's not every day there's a plus size pop up sale in town, much less one where you can shop your favourite plus size fashion bloggers' closets! On Sunday (July 22), head down to the Wise Daughters Craft Market (3079B Dundas St W) from noon to 5 pm to get your hands on beautiful bargain pieces pre-owned by Killer Kurves, Geek with Style, and Big Hips Red Lips. Find out more or RSVP here.

Next week (July 23 - 29), Crywolf is participating in its very first pop up shop at Narwhal Art Projects (2988 Dundas St W). The brand - known for its fun printed tees and general graphic cute-ness - will be selling their product all week long, in addition to new endeavours like nail art and custom keychains. The launch party held next Thursday (July 26) will run from 7 pm until 10 pm and will showcase Crywolf's new in-house line of locally made, eco-friendly, organic bamboo cotton shirts. Find out more here.

Leading online fashion forecaster WGSN.com is holding its trend seminar for Fall/Winter 2013 next Monday from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm at Toronto Fashion Incubator (285 Manitoba Dr). The website - which costs thousands to be a member - lets designers, retailers, merchandisers, and stylists know the key colours, fabrics, trends, and products driving seasons up to a couple of years in advance. Get your $60 ticket to the seminar here.

SALES

Standard Apparel is continuing its what-seems-to-be-everlasting 50% off sale until Fall/Winter merchandise arrives on Fred Perry (964 Queen St W) and Oliver Spencer (962 Queen St W) shelves. Get half off whatever's left of Fred Perry's Spring/Summer clothing and footwear, and all Oliver Spencer stock except Filson and Aesop.

Following suite is Philip Sparks, with his very own 50% off sale. Get your Spring/Summer wardrobe staples - like the landscape printed full-length jumper I've been swooning over all summer - at half off online and in store (162 Ossington Ave) until quantities last.
