From now until the end of summer, Philip Sparks is extending his shopping hours and offering complimentary beer every Friday evening. Browse the collection of impeccably tailored garments for both men and women with a cold bottle of Peroni in hand. Plus, enter a draw to win a $500 gift card and a private shopping party for you and 20 guests.

Last week, Yorkdale Shopping Centre made a big announcement about its even bigger future territory. The high-end shopping destination is planning a 145,000 square-foot expansion to accommodate the 30 new stores being added to its roster, including Wilfred Boutique, Diesel, Ann Taylor, Tesla Motors, Ted Baker London, and Kate Spade New York. Existing retailers Holt Renfrew, Lacoste, and Club Monaco plan to move to larger locations. All this is set to be ready for the public by November 15th.

EVENTS/PARTIES

From today until Sunday (July 4-8, 11am-9pm), Mutts & Co. is hosting their summer pop-up "Variety Store" at Paramour (94 Ossington Ave), exclusively showcasing Canadian brands such as Scout and Catalogue with post-Canada Day pride. In addition to the unisex fashions, jewellery, housewares, and art available for purchase, the photo gallery at back of the shop features works by two Toronto photographers. The official launch party--complete with refreshments by Victoria Gin and Corona, and the musical stylings of Parasol--will run from 6 pm until 11 pm tomorrow evening (July 5).

Absolute Culture--the same team who created HUM Network's Style 360 (the first South Asian fashion lifestyle channel)--is proud to present the International Fashion Festival right here in Toronto. The event will run for three days (June 6 to 8), and will include an exhibition and runway shows. The exhibition is free for the public, but the fashion shows are ticketed at $35 each or $150 for an all-access pass.

This weekend, head down to Oz Studios (134 Ossington Ave) from 11am-5pm for a clothing market with quite an interesting theme: the carnival. Not only can you peruse the diverse group of vendors (which will rotate each day) offering new and vintage clothing, you can also get your snow cone and candied popcorn fix at the same time.

If you've got one or two (or more) bags of clothing you no longer need, spend Saturday (July 7) from noon-6pm trading them with somebody else's at Walnut Studios (83 Walnut Ave). This "Massive Clothing Swap" promotes green living in addition to letting you clean out your closet. Just be sure to only bring clean, gently used clothing, as the unclaimed garments will be donated to local non-profit organizations, shelters, and charities.

Today, The Coveterie Showroom (12 Irwin Ave) is open from 11 am until 7 pm for a one-day-only sample sale. Garments by budding contemporary designers are marked at guilt-free prices, with nothing over $150.

While the King Textiles moving liquidation sale still goes on until the 31st, Maison/Beatrice Holloway Studio begins its very own moving sale on July 9, and running until July 13. They've got fabric imported from Italy and Japan by the rolls, tons of trims, hangers, rolling racks, mannequins, and more to get rid of for dirt cheap prices. Visit House of Spy Studio (258 Wallace Ave, #202) anywhere from noon-7pm each day to get a hold of the great deals.

Visit Philistine (1394 Queen St West) this weekend for 30% off on all new and vintage clothing, plus 12% off all accessories. The two-year-old boutique is ever grateful for their customers' continued support, dubbing this promotion a "customer appreciation sale."
