This week in fashion is a weekly round up of what's being talked about — or bitched about — in Toronto's style scene.

Procter & Gamble set to bring big designers to Toronto, but not for Toronto's fashion week
Fortune Magazine's fifth most admired company Big Money Procter & Gamble is showcasing a handful of expat designers at the Ritz-Carlton in advance of LGFW. The shows, to be held on October 13 and 14, will welcome London-based talents Thomas Tait, Todd Lynn and Jean-Pierre Braganza, as well as Paris-based Calla Haynes. Who the hell are these designers you ask? Just get on board — and quick.

To start, New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn (bless her) devoted four paragraphs to praising young Tait in a blog post from London Fashion Week, and only one in the same entry to Tom Ford. As for the others, they're all A+ in my books. Let me be the first — well, second — to give kudos to you, P&G. I don't know why, and I don't care how, you're bringing these Euro wunderkinds here, but I'm happy any time I see homegrown support for designers who have made international leaps.

Dalston Grey's (official) opening party
Formerly known as lost+found vintage, Dalston Grey is an official thing now. Tonight, the Dundas West outpost is gearing to host an opening night party and you're totally invited. Shop racks-full of vintage fashions for the modern style set, hand-picked by the shop's resident lovely Leah Gust. For more info on the festivities, check out the event page here.

Hey, another vintage sale — and it looks gooood
Go west this Friday for the opening night of the Bridge + Bardot fall vintage clothing hosted in conjunction with The New Beat. Can't make it? Don't worry, it's running until Sunday. Consonant Skincare announced it will open their first Canadian flagship at 2479 Yonge St. in mere weeks. All products are 100 per cent natural, and Canadian-made. Hey, fashion isn't skin-deep.

Paws for the Cause has finally started selling tickets for the second annual PAWS Gala. The furry fashion show fundraiser will take place on Thursday, October 27 at Airship 37 on Parliament, and proceeds benefit the Ontario Veterinary College Pet Trust Fund. IDS12: 90 seconds of design:
From January 26 to 29, 2012, the Interior Design Show is set to take over the city, and nothing off the runway (or the street) screams fashion like interior design. For ts 14th year, IDS12 introduces 90 Seconds of Design, a six-part video series filmed in Toronto and New York that will see conference speakers discussing what design means to them.
