Toronto models it's time to step up to the plate.

Cycle 2 of Canada's Next Top Model is coming and I expect to see at least one Torontonian in the contest. The shutout of Cycle 1 was unacceptable. Therefore, you wannabe models get to stepping and fill out that application form.

Torontonian Jay Manuel will be taking over the hosting duties. This is a good thing, Trica Helfer really sucked as a host. It was amazing that she could deliver lines so flat, it's not like she can't act. She is so amazing on Battlestar Galactic (ya, I'm nerd).

To enter, you must be female, between the ages of 18-27. Canadian citizens and permanent residents are eligible. Selected participants will have to be prepared to spend five weeks away from your family and friends. If you are 18, you need your parents consent. Don't forget the photos and video tape portions of the application. The deadline for applications is Friday, December 15, 2006.

The application is a whopping 31 pages long. It contains more information in regards to eligibility. Make sure you don't have a criminal record ladies. There is a big section of questions that have to be answered. In addition to basic information, there are the psych questions to weed out the crazies. You can't lie on this application; they are doing background checks and will find out about past indiscretions.

Good luck brave model wannabes. Make you applications good so that Jay is impressed. Cycle 2 is to start in the spring of 2007 and maybe they choose a winner who really does have an interest in pursuing a career in fashion.
