Slideluck Potshow comes to Toronto

Potluck Slideshow Combo Serves Up Food and Art

Slideluck Potshow is bringing its melange of food and art to Toronto tonight, in conjunction with the CONTACT Toronto Photography Festival.

This isn't your Unlce Bob's boring vacation slideshow. Each selection is limited to five minutes and is often accompanied by music, commentary or other surprises.

The travelling art show features a feast of food followed by a slideshow of emerging and established Canadian and international photojournalists, painters, sculptors, comedians, fashion and fine-art photographers.

The launch of the popular gathering started in a Seattle backyard eight years ago and now regularly draws a thousand people in New York City. The concept has taken flight to cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Mexico City, London, Milan, Barcelona, Madrid, Stockholm, Copenhagen and Berlin.

So whip up your favourite food dish, be it a satay, salad, blancmange or cupcakes and be prepared for a fun and inspiring evening.

The potluck begins at 7 p.m. and the slideshow begins at 9:30 p.m. and ends at 11:30 p.m. Please note the venue change to Urban Space Gallery (401 Richmond St. W., Studio 117).
