College street bike lanes

College St. bike lanes removed but are coming back

We've received a number of emails from readers today informing us that the bike lanes have been removed from College Street, possibly the entire stretch between Bathurst and Yonge. We stopped by to survey the situation ourselves and as the photos above indicate the bike lanes have definitely been burned off. But not to worry. It's not a Rob Ford ploy to further reduce the amount of biking infrastructure in the city.

The bikes lanes will be back at some point later this month and not only include a fresh coat of paint but also the arrival of bike boxes.
