Your morning news roundup for Tuesday November 27th, 2007:

City council members have been infighting over office-related expenses, and for once I actually think oddball councillor Rob Ford is right. The city is spending our time and money investigating and reprimanding Ford for not claiming his work expenses (he pays for his own supplies).

Children see, children do. Kids hockey sometimes gets too violent.

Remember the CBC show The Friendly Giant? Puppets Gerome and Rusty were part of the CBC Museum collection, but the owner has decided to remove them. I heard CBC Radio mention this yesterday, but Jian failed to mention why.

Ontario and Quebec are negotiating an interprovincial free trade deal. We get poutine and hockey players that don't suck in exchange for stuff we can get from China cheaper than they can.

There will be no food cart purchase, and no bottled water tax. Most of us could have predicted these outcomes.

It looks like there's an interesting article about in the Globe and Mail about the creation vs. evolution in education issue, but I'll never know because I refuse to pay for my internet-based news.
