The former head of the police drug squad has resigned but is still facing corruption charges. This comes after being suspended on allegations of fraud, extortion, assault, obstruction of justice, and more; with pay. He's also opting for his $1million pension payout.

Be prepared to pay about 7-9% more for water next year, and by 2012 expect to pay quite a lot more than now. Toronto Water wants 9 percent increases in the utility each year for the next 5 years.

Pearson airport is reducing its landing and terminal fees in an effort to increase passenger and airline traffic. Will passengers even notice? I didn't think that our expensive airport fees were a deterrent to potential visitors.
