Bell Utility Boxes Being Vandalised

Morning Brew: March 30th, 2007

Your morning news roundup for Friday, March 30th, 2007:

Apparently, damage to Bell utility boxes is out of control in this city. Maybe people are just fed up with their long distance rates?

In today's daily dose of irony: shortly after the city announced a new project to reduce distractions on the road for both pedestrians and drivers on Spadina, a man was hit by a streetcar on Spadina today because he didn't see it coming.

A streetcar hitting a pedestrian is bad, but at least TTC drivers aren't getting caught making personal calls on their mobile phones while driving the bus.

A local barber is celebrating fifty years in business in April, remembering times where haircuts were only 75 cents a person. I still remember last April when gas prices were only 75 cents a litre.

It's not only gas; apparently tires are too expensive these days as well, as Toronto Police apprehended a man yesterday that was driving solely on his wheel rims.

A record number of doctors received their licenses in Ontario last year, yet I still have to wait for two weeks before I can see someone for my cough.
