The TTC has announced that they'll be doing some much needed work on the section of tunnel between St.George and Bay stations. On weekends between Feb18 and Mar31, Museum station will be used as a transfer point, and passengers will be able to catch a glimpse of the defunct "Lower Bay" station.

Our pro sports teams are both really sucking. The Leafs are on a 7-game losing streak, and the Raptors have dropped 4 in a row. All aboard the whiner bandwagon!

In environmental news, 700 scientists signed a letter calling on our PM to vastly improve the Canadian Environmental Protection Act. Industrial chemicals and smog are a concern to our general health.

Canadian research scientists studying the effects of global warming are once again piping up about our Arctic ice, with another study to be released, this time predicting ice-free summers by 2040.

Opposition parties, led by BQ leader Duceppe, are threatening to topple Harper with a non-confidence motion over the mandate of Canadian soldiers in Afghanistan. 44 soldiers have died since the mission began in 2002.

A salt-transporting schooner that sank in Lake Ontario over 150 years ago has been found using a remote controlled underwater camera. It's one of over 200 known wrecks in the lake.
