vidTO: 300 Bloor Blue Night Jam

It's not often we get to see young, drunk Torontonians performing Bob Marley and Bob Dylan classics with a Blue Night bus twist! Their improvised lyrics to "No Bus Fare, No Ride" and "Knocking on the Bus Driver's Door" got a little chuckle out of me.

The beloved TTC Blue Night bus network (aka the "Vomit Comet") is a service I seldom experience but on the rare occasion do take advantage of. On weekends the Bloor-Danforth and Yonge routes can be a particularly wild rides. The downtown bars and nightclubs close and the drunken revelrers board the bus on Bloor for destinations as far as Scarborough in the east to Etobicoke in the way out west. The sober minority, some on their way to or from work, often smirk but sometimes look more like they're dreading every moment of it.

This weekend was no exception, apparently. Check out this video I came across and added to the blogTO YouTube group.

I remember when we only had 30cents,
to get six people on the blue line bus.
Well we finally get on then we throw up
all over all of the passengers,
and we just got second last call.

All in good, drunken fun I suppose.
