Fair Trade Fair on the Danforth


Today, there is a Fair Trade Fair (try saying that 10 times fast) taking place at St. Barnabas Church on the Danforth. The event is being held in celebration of National Fair Trade Weeks, declared May 1 to 15 this year, by Transfair Canada, a non-profit which acts the nation's fair trade licensing body and public education organization.

The event will welcome fair trade vendors from across the province gathering to show off their wares. Among them, Alternative Grounds, Merchants of Green Coffee, Oxfam Canada, EQUITA and Ten Thousand Villages. From coffee to handicrafts, go show your support and help those in developing countries receive equitable compensation for their labour and their products. Besides, sunny Saturdays in Greektown...it don't get any better...

What: Fair Trade Fair
