Billboard Bits Nearly Take Out Pedestrians

While I was on a job in the suburbs dreaming of downtown life and noise, downtown was coming to pieces and nearly killing passersby. The CBC reported late this afternoon that today's high winds caused one of the large Eaton Centre billboards to fall to the ground along with several metal parts of the advertising structure.

Three people were struck in the incident, one being admitted to hospital with serious, but non-life threatening injuries. Could have been a lot worse if it had happened on a busy Saturday afternoon.

Would this be a bad time to ask what kind of scrap metal these contraptions are being made of?
