Tuesday, September 4th:

The Art Bar Poetry Series presents Suparna Ghosh, Souvankham Thammavongsa and David McFadden.
Clinton's Tavern. 8pm. Free.

Strong Words, Indiepolitik's monthly reading series, with feature Krystle Mullin, Sakura Saunders and Debbie Ackley.

Wednesday, September 5th:

This Is Not A Reading Series presents a double launch for works that address the legacy of Jack Kerouac, with Ray Robertson, author of What Happened Later, and David Creighton, author of Ecstasy of the Beats, in conversation with CBC Radio's Jian Ghomeshi.
Gladstone Hotel Ballroom. 7:30pm. Free.

Thursday, September 6th:

The front lot the historic Coach House becomes the playground of literary revelers at their annual Open House. Tour through the cobwebbed corners and then retire to the courtyard for a drink, a snack and some author-spotting.
Coach House Books. 5pm.

Friday, September 7th:

I.V. Lounge Reading Series presents fiction by Christine Fischer Guy and poetry by Nashira Dernesch and Ian Roy.
I.V. Lounge. 8pm,. Free.

Saturday, September 8th:

Toronto Poetry Slam, hosted by Dave Silverberg, presents another high-energy spoken-word competition featuring the top performance poets in the city.
Cervejaria. 8pm (sign-up 7:30pm). $5.

Sunday, September 9th:

Coffeehouse Open Mic
hosted by Yehuda Fisher, featuring Chris James and Krystle Mullin. Also performing on the open stage, Jeff Cottrill, Neil Rhodes, and Duncan Armstrong.
Free Times Cafe. 8pm. Free.

Monday, September 10th:

U of T Bookstore Reading Series invites you to an evening of conversation and visual presentations with Judy Chicago, pioneering feminist artist and author of The Dinner Party: From Creation to Preservation.
