Shot of Art: Carlos Cazalis at the Distillery District

Carlos Cazalis photos are something of a must see for anyone heading down to the Distillery District during CONACT 2011. Fortunately, then, it's good that they've been installed in such a way that it's almost impossible to miss them. Although ostensibly an exhibit at Pikto, Cazalis's large format prints are also on display in the outdoor area that surrounds the gallery. Somehow the open-air approach works extremely well with these images, which depict vast scene of densely populated cities like Osaka, S達o Paulo, Dhaka and Mexico City. This is documentary photography at its finest.
