Housepaint Artist Products

Earlier this year the ROM launched Housepaint - an exhibition that explores issues surrounding poverty and homelessness through street art. (See previous coverage) Around the same time local arts organization Well and Good teamed with a number of the participating artists to create a Housepaint product line that includes limited edition t-shirts, art prints, buttons, postcards, dishtowels and switchplate (light switch) covers. A couple of the t-shirts are show above, both printed at local collective and creative space Baitshop.

Now, you'd think these products would be available for sale at the ROM's gift shop, but they're not. However, the entire collection is available online on the Housepaint Artists Products web site for prices ranging from $15 to $100.

Personally, I'd be all over the switchplates if my home didn't have the fat buttons that don't fit with the designs. But with art spanning the who's who of street artists from EGR to Elicser a chance to own any of their work at these prices is a steal. Plus, a portion of proceeds will be donated to Habitat for Humanity.
