Hybridized: Dolls and Drolls

I'll admit that the first thing that drew me to the Hybridized: Dolls and Drolls exhibit at xpace Gallery was the fact that Chris Watson was wheatpasting. Attractive enough of an exhibit on its own, wheatpasting is but one of the great things you can find at the exhibit, curated by Patrick Phillips and blogTO's own Carrie Young.

Not much of a photographer myself, I asked my good friend and photographer extraordinaire Min to grab a few shots of the exhibit, which you can see in the slideshow below.

Showcasing the best of the contemporary hybrid, the exhibition features work by artists such as Hugo Arias, Jeffrey Addison, A.D. Dashner, Patrick Phillips, Miriam Springett, Dusan Stojanovski, in addition to Chris Watson and Carrie herself. Carrie has been blogging about curating the exhibit over at How to be a Kurator, which is definitely worth a read.

The Hybridized: Dolls and Drolls exhibit runs until Sunday, October 8, 2006 at the xpace Gallery in Kensington.
