Getting Published. Getting Noticed.

Toronto really is a hotbed for creativity and is especially active in the photographic arts. Home to numerous galleries, pro labs, camera clubs, and the month long Contact festival, Toronto photography really holds it's own.

But Creative Designer Taku Kumabe sees a need to find and reveal some of the hidden talents amongst Torontonians, and the talents from photographers afar. For this reason, he has created the grassroots, ad-free publication U&I Magazine. U&I Magazine features photography and written submissions from travellers, and camera enthusiasts (hobbyist and professionals alike) from around the world.

Featured works in the current issue (#3) by Toronto area photographers include mind-bending tilt/shift imagery by Hamish Grant, vivid underwater wildlife photography by Mark Turuk, and some fantastic work from a number of students including Istoica, Kevin Hiscott, and Dustin Parr.
