In 2006: LGBT Dance Club

With the new year 'round the corner I thought I would start a short series of suggestions of ways to help you make your new year's resolutions easier. As well, I thought that I would take the opportunity to give you a heads up to events that will be happening later in 2006.

But first, let's start with getting your feet moving in the new year. There are many, many dancing clubs in Toronto that give lessons. But you may not be aware of the LGBT Dance Club based out of the University of Toronto, possibly the only social dance club that is actively gender neutral. The Club is open everyone including those who are not part of the UofT community and straight -but queer friendly-people.

The Winter 2006 session of salsa lessons begins on January 22 - the course runs for 10 weeks and is $70 for non U of T students (a bargain!). All classes are at the International Student Union of the University of Toronto. 33 St. George Street, just north of College.
