Local Restaurant Toronto

Before Bar Salumi, there's always The Local

Parkdale is full of great places to eat during the daytime, but at night it's a different story. Aside from a few stand-bys, a good evening meal can be hard to come by. Good thing that at the far reaches of Queen, just before you get to Roncesvalles, this restaurant that places an emphasis on local and Italian ingredients - is bent on transforming this strip of sketchy bars and antique stores into perhaps a west-end dining destination. In fact, in a few months the owners will be opening a nearby aperitif bar called Bar Salumi.
