Canadian designers take centre stage at Little Italy shop
In a neighbourhood mostly known for its restaurants, this edgy-yet-classic boutique is a little bit of an anomaly. But that doesn't bother the proprietor, who's used to blazing trails: her last foray into retail was opening the only high-end boutique in downtown Regina, Sask. Turns out, the store's Europe-by-way-of-Canada aesthetic resonates everywhere; the new Toronto location is quickly drawing in shoppers seeking under-the-radar brands from across the country.
