New East Chinatown bakery sells 'streetcar sandwiches'

toronto east end bakeryIt's not exactly the area you'd expect to find country scones and butter tarts, but this veteran pastry chef is finding a way to make it work. Previously on the pastry team at Cafe Belong at Evergreen, this traditional baker is busy rolling out fresh cookies and chevre cheesecakes amid a block of plush with bitter melon and bok choy.
