New! Movie Listings and Trailers on blogTO

Movie ListingsToday we're officially unveiling our new movie listings section. You can find it by clicking the new "Movie Listings" tab in the top right of the site's navigation bar.

Here are some of the features we've baked into this new section:

  • Showtimes for all Toronto area theatres including all rep/second run cinemas
  • The ability to set your own theatre preferences so you aren't shown movies/showtimes for theatres you'd never go to
  • Movie trailers! (quickly streaming in Flash so you don't need to open up Windows Media Player, Quicktime or another application)
  • Quick access to showtimes for rep/second run cinemas only

1) Previous and Next buttons at the top of the page.
2) Ability to view list on a single page (no pagination)
3) Show theatre address in preferences screen
4) Ability to see showtimes for a date range (multiple dates at a time)
5) Ability to remove a theatre from the list (as opposed to the preferences screen)
6) Fix: "Notice: Use of undefined constant TODAY_YMD - assumed 'TODAY_YMD' in /nfs/c01/h08/mnt/445/domains/blogto.com/html/movies/php/includes/error_handler.inc.php on line 28" on the movie summary screen.
7) Movie comments & reviews and an IMDB link (couldn't check whether this was implemented b/c of #6)

Do that and you've got one more convert! :)

Niiiice! It's like Tribute.ca (but with far-better navigation and ease of use) combined with the Apple trailer site. Great work. :)

We're looking into adding the Scarborough theatres. I don't think we'll be able to add Cinematheque though
